ECLIPSE
EVENT AND CAMPING
Why Camp with Us?
The actual total solar eclipse is a brief period of time in the grand scheme of things. For our location in rural Northern Pulaski County, Arkansas, we will have 3 minutes and 14 seconds of totality, We are opening our farm to paying campers for seven days, from Wednesday April 3rd through Wednesday April 10th, and while we understand that the eclipse is the main attraction, the opportunities for fun and relaxation here are plentiful, and hard to beat for the prices offered.
Use our farm as your base camp as you spend time exploring the many exciting adventures within reasonable distances from here. Although it may seem like we are in the middle of nowhere, we are really in the middle of everything, with the major metropolitan areas of Central Arkansas including Little, Rock, North Little Rock, Jacksonville, and Conway only a short drive away. There you can find restaurants and activities unique to our area. Explore the many amazing attractions of springtime in central Arkansas. You might choose to make excursions to Hot Springs, with its springs, lakes, horse-racing, and other attractions, to Petit Jean Mountain to enjoy hiking and waterfalls, or to the Buffalo National River for a canoeing trip. Nearby Pinnacle Mountain offers great hiking and climbing opportunities, as well as stunning views of the Arkansas River.
Onsite, we have numerous activities planned to keep folks as busy as they want to be, or not. If relaxing in your campsite is more your speed, our private acreage is nestled far enough from town to really get back to nature. See our schedule and map page for more information about planned activities here at Diwali-Hi, but be sure to check back later, as we will continue to update this as activities are confirmed.
Lastly, one of the major reasons for hosting this event is to help support our community. Ten non-profits will be sharing a pool of 10% of all camping fees collected. These are the organizations that help take care of communities, including ours, and we want to make sure that the blessings we receive are shared with them. This event is also the starting fundraiser for our project, the transition from a self-sufficient family farm, to an educational agrihood focused on health and healing. And finally, monies brought in by this event will help the elders who live in this valley, the community park down the road, and the local employees who will serve as staff.

CAMPING RULES AND GUIDELINES
By agreeing to purchase one of these camping options, you also agree to abide by the rules and guidelines listed below.
Quiet hours are from 10PM until 6AM as per county noise ordinance.
Please bring drinking water or pre-order bottled water. Our well water has a strong taste and is filled with sulfur, iron, and manganese, despite heavy filtration.
Unfortunately, due to the temporary nature of this event, we will be unable to make the farm handicapped accessible. The terrain is somewhat rugged, so if walking on uneven surfaces presents a difficulty for you, the farm sites might not be appropriate.
No public drinking or intoxication. Imbibing in the privacy of your own campsite is tolerated as long as you can remain controlled and discrete. This is a family friendly event.
No glass bottles please. Recycling for aluminum cans will be available.
Trash receptacles will be provided. Please do not litter.
Practice “Leave No Trace” camping as much as possible. Don’t dig trenches or cut trees or plants. Certain delicate environments may be labeled off limits to protect the special ecosystems located there.
Only park your vehicles in designated, assigned places. Most parking is not adjacent to the campsites.
Speed limits on premises are between 5-10 mph. Your vehicles’ suspension will thank you for following this rule.
Bring a lawn chair, sunscreen/sun hat, poncho/raincoat/umbrella, mud boots, bug spray, cold weather coat, summer shorts, etc. We can guarantee that there will be weather, but we can’t guarantee what kind of weather it will be. Come prepared with options.
Be sure to bring a supply of any medications that you may need; if you have a specific medical condition that may affect your stay, please contact us to discuss possible accommodations.
There will be area campfires tended by staff members. These fires are for all campers to gather around, meet neighbors, roast marshmallows, and enjoy. Fires in individual campsites are prohibited for insurance and safety reasons.
Cooking on camp stoves or BBQ grills will be permitted if done safely.
Porta-potties will be available at multiple locations for campers’ convenience. Sewage pump out service for RVs/Campers will be available at the end of the festival for a fee by our porta-potty providers.
No refunds of camping fees will be given. This is due to unscrupulous speculators in the past who have tried to game the system by hoarding reservations in several locations and then cancelling at the last moment, leaving hosts with empty campsites and no time to fill those spaces. When you book our campsites, those sites will be reserved for you and can not be resold.
Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash, inside a pen, or in your RV or tent. Pulaski County has a leash law. Pets should be up to date with their vaccinations and not unfriendly. Please clean up after your pets and dispose of waste in trash receptacles. Do not allow your pets to chase or harass our livestock or the native wildlife.
Please do not wander off the premises. Please respect our neighbors’ privacy and sovereignty over their properties by not trespassing or disturbing their belongings. Do not enter any dwelling, outbuilding, barns, etc. Don’t cross fences.
